What is Extreme Freestyle?

Extreme Freestyle is a skateboarding modality created by Alexandre Feliz in 2012. This modality combines skateboarding, climbing, and swimming techniques, enabling athletes to perform complex maneuvers across diverse terrains, like sand, water, rocks, ice, and snow, for example.

In this modality, skateboarders challenge themselves to execute strategic acrobatic movements that blend skateboarding skills with the unique obstacles presented by each environment. It is possible to perform maneuvers while climbing with or without ropes and even while swimming, showcasing the versatility and adaptability required for the modality. Extreme Freestyle is always evolving, pushing the limits of what is possible with a skateboard.

Respect for biodiversity is a fundamental principle of Extreme Freestyle. Maneuvers must never involve plants, fungi, or animals, ensuring harmony with nature and the preservation of the planet’s ecosystems.

To ensure the safety of the modality and minimize its environmental impact, it is highly recommended to adhere to the 15 essential rules that guide its practice. These principles are designed to protect the athletes, nature, and the integrity of the modality. View all the rules here.
